When Simon Henner emerged on the French music scene under the artistic pseudonym French 79 in 2014, he probably didn't imagine that soon his own country would feel small to him and he would gain fans from all over the world. With his first two opuses (the debut album Olympic released in 2016 and Joshua in 2019), he contributed to reshaping the French touch (house) genre.
Following in the footsteps of electronic giants such as Erik Satie, Jean-Michel Jarre, Air, and Daft Punk, he began creating tracks full of synthesizers inspired by the 80s and 90s adolescence in Marseille. His most played tracks "Between the Buttons", the platinum-certified "Diamond Veins feat. Sarah Rebecca", and "Hometown" set the imaginary boundaries of a completely new musical universe.
