Viennese duo Peach Tinted, consisting of Emil Paiker and Louis Springer, have earned a reputation as one of the most interesting discoveries on the European indie scene since their formation in 2019. They started out producing lo-fi beats in a small basement studio in Vienna, before forging their own musical path with their debut EP, Cinematic Youth.
Influenced by grunge, shoegaze and hip-hop, their work features falsetto vocals, guitar effects and distinctive drums that break down genre boundaries. With subsequent EPs, Peach Tinted continue to push their musical style, confirming their role as experimenters and musicians who know how to surprise.
Peach Tinted also use modern technology when it comes to performing live. Emil and Louis run Ableton Live software, digital guitar amplifiers and automated visuals to create a full concert experience with minimal equipment. Paiker controls live sets with Ableton Push, allowing him to add sound effects on the fly. Springer, meanwhile, layers guitar loops to create the impression of multiple guitars playing simultaneously.
Peach Tinted will showcase their musical talents and skills at Metronome Prague 2025 on Saturday 21 June.
