Top 10 Of This Year by David Gaydečka

Dear friends, We are fine-tuning every detail, and everyone is working hard to bring you the best possible experiences. Experiences that, on June 20th, will take you beyond the boundaries of music. One of the festival's founders, David Gaydečka, has prepared his TOP 10 picks for this year's event, which he is particularly excited about!

1. This year's stars represent a wide range of talent, offering something for everyone! Michael Kiwanuka, Milky Chance, Meute, Raye, or The Blaze... I've seen some of their shows live, and I can vouch for them. They will surely impress each and every one of you!

2. We have special performances that you won't see anywhere else. Kosheen and their show celebrating 25 years on stage with a unique duet with AIKO, Michael Kocáb will take us through 35 years on stage with an orchestra, and Janek Ledecký's Mr. Everest project will pay tribute to Bob Dylan. And that’s definitely not all.

3. I love how our programming team spans across genres, creating a truly diverse lineup. Every genre is excellently represented. I would highlight the Rap Club Stage featuring the British grime legend Ghetts. Also noteworthy is the Park Stage, which on Friday evening will be taken over by the crazy and brilliant improviser Marc Rebillet.

4. An electro scene and dance music are a must at the festival. I’m looking forward to seeing how our stages will get everyone moving until the early hours with The Blaze, Vitalic, Duskus, Mezerg, Lawrence Hart, Yuné Pinku, and more.

5. We’ve also enhanced our non-musical program, including live podcasts and discussions. The quality is guaranteed with the duo Šídlo-Dobrovský or the fantastic Honza Bican & My děti ze stanice 2020.

6. Fans of contemporary art will also have something to look forward to! For three days, we will create our own art gallery, showcasing both finished works and those created on-site. Thanks to 3D printing, visitors will also have the chance to participate in the creation of some art pieces.

7. We’ve taken care of staying hydrated as well. We’ll even have beer served in glass, special brews on tap, and of course, quality wine thanks to our collaboration with Winestore. Additionally, we’ll have reusable dishes and refund deposits on cards to minimize queues.

8. Our venue has a unique genius loci. The stages fit perfectly into the newly renovated Křižík Pavilions, all surrounded by Stromovka, which feels like an oasis of calm in the heart of the city. This year, we’ve also improved our technical facilities, with new acoustics, a better VIP zone, viewpoints, and covered halls.

9. This includes amenities that evoke a “home away from home” feeling – running water, an amazing food scene, ceramic toilets, and safety both within the venue and in the surrounding areas of Holešovice and Letná.

10. And most of all, I’m looking forward to three days of relaxation, fun, and joy. To all those experiences and feelings of togetherness that you can’t find anywhere else.

This is, in a nutshell, what David expects this year’s Metronome Prague to be like, as we count down the hours and minutes. The last tickets are still on sale, so if you don't have yours yet, hurry up!
